To review the existing two-storey semi-detached accommodation, which included a single-storey kitchen extension, and design a solution that provides a workable layout for a growing family.

The Solution:

Demolish the existing single-storey return, build across, and create an open-plan living kitchen area linked to the existing dining room.
Extended ceiling heights and overhead roof windows add to the spacious feel.
The view from the garden is a ‘picture-framed’ opening with large-scale sliding doors to maximise the view and link outside to inside space.
